Croydon

BACK

Croydon was the focus of a gold rush in the 1880's and flourished into a well established town supporting a hard working population, The remnants of these bygone days are still very visible within the town. Colonial style buildings, heritage listed sites and characters from the past are all part of Croydon's charm.

The town had a large Chinese population during the gold boom days and a memorial to these people is within easy distance of the town centre. Lake Belmore just 3km from town is a great place for a BBQ and swim, maybe even catch a Barramundi or go water skiing.

The Croydon visitors centre can be contacted on (07) 4745 6125.
